I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus, and
received my B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Science.
As a Research Technician I am responsible for the work that goes through
Terry Chapin's lab. This means that I am always busy with fifty
different things! I am processing samples and managing data for
the Bonanza Creek LTER Artificial Communities Experiment, as well
as the Nutrient Limitation Experiment. This summer I'll be helping
set up the Managing
Fire with Fire in Alaska Black Spruce Forests project to examine
the relationship of landscape and regional patterns of germination,
survivorship, and growth of seedlings across a range of site conditions
(moisture, fire severity).
I also coordinate the lab space and equipment, help with other
research that needs to be processed or analyzed, build trenches, and basically
anything else people need from me. As long as I can get into the field
from time to time, I'm happy.
